Local REALTOR® Walks 5,000 Miles to Send Kids to Easter Seals Camps
Brent Pay of CENTURY 21 Assurance Realty raises $8,700 for Camp Winfield.
March 13, 2018 – Kelowna, BC – If you live in the upper mission in Kelowna, there is a good chance that you’ve seen Brent Pay walking each morning, rain or shine, over the past 4 years. He did it for health and for charity.
Brent walked his first mile on February 10th, 2014 and since then walked four miles almost every day while putting aside $1 for every mile to help send kids with disabilities to BC Easter Seals camps. This past Sunday, surrounded by his community, Brent walked his 5,000th mile and raised even more funds for the kids. In addition to his own $5,000 he donated, his friends and colleagues raised an additional $3,700.
“During our walk yesterday to celebrate my 5,000th mile, I realized how lucky I was to be able to spend such a truly beautiful day with so many good friends, family and colleagues,” said Brent. “Over 50 friends joined me on the walk and raising another $3,700 for Easter Seals Camp Winfield was the icing on the cake!!” CENTURY 21 Assurance Realty Ltd. and Easter Seals BC & Yukon commend Brent on his dedication to supporting kids with disabilities and his personal and professional achievements in our community.
Brent has been a real estate professional serving the Upper and Lower Mission area in Kelowna since 2009. He is an active member of the community, President of OMRA (Okanagan Mission Residents Association), Director of OMREB (Okanagan Mainline Real Estate Board) and an active contributor to local charities such as Easter Seals BC & Yukon and 100 Men Who Give A Damn.
