Easter Seals House is now open for respite stays during the COVID pandemic
We understand the enormous challenges the COVID pandemic has put on families that have someone with diverse abilities in their household, and so, during this time, we are opening up our suites to families who are looking for, and needing, a night of respite. You may choose it as time away for yourself and spouse or partner, or choose to bring your family member. ~ Lisa Beck, Easter Seals BC/Yukon CEO & President.
* Note: due to the recent province-wide restrictions on travel until January 8th, 2021, we encourage those only who live in the Greater Vancouver community to take advantage of this opportunity for now.
For $68/night, you’ll have your own private studio apartment that includes a kitchenette, two twin beds (or combine to a King bed), full bathroom and WIFI. You will also have access to laundry facilities, and the option of underground, secured parking for $10/night. All COVID health and safety protocols are in place at Easter Seals House, so you can feel safe and welcome during your stay.
Easter Seals House is only 10 minutes from downtown Vancouver and 20 minutes from Vancouver Airport, making for a great location. Delicious restaurants, supermarkets, and local tourist spots are within walking distance.
Easter Seals House is a charity-run lodge that provides a home-away-from-home for families and adults who travel from out of town to Vancouver for medical treatment. Located just minutes from hospitals, it is a lifeline for thousands of families throughout BC and Yukon to help relieve them of the stress and financial burden of finding somewhere to stay in an expensive, and unfamiliar city.
‘Easter Seals House is so valuable to so many people across the province. I become emotional when I think about it. Easter Seals House takes away one worry when there’s so many other worries.’ – Randy and Kimberley, Easter Seals House guests.
