Easter Seals House Gets A Room Renovation Donated By Pacific Blue Cross
Another room renovation has been completed at Easter Seals House thanks to Pacific Blue Cross and their donation of $10,000.
The renovation project was done by All-In-One Pro Maintenance and included new kitchen cabinets and appliances, flooring, furniture, bathroom vanity, window treatments and a fresh coat of paint.
“We are so grateful to Pacific Blue Cross for their donation that allowed us to renovate another room at Easter Seals House,” says Lisa Beck, President and CEO of Easter Seals British Columbia/Yukon. “For so many adults and families, knowing Easter Seals House is here, gives them a sense of peace and calmness in what is a very stressful time in their lives. It’s important that we give them a nice and welcoming place to stay.”
Every year, Easter Seals House provides a lifeline for thousands of families across BC and Yukon that require access to Vancouver hospitals by offering affordable and comfortable short-term accommodation, a home away from home and a vital support network for approximately 14,000 guests who travel from their communities to stay at the facility.
“The room was clean and comfortable (with a) nice little kitchenette. So wonderful to have a place to stay for a medical visit that doesn’t break the bank and is so close to Vancouver general hospital. Staff were very friendly and helpful. A great service to the people who need it. A very big thank you to all involved,” said Johanna who was a recent guest at Easter Seals House.
