Recognizing Lions Who Make A Difference
Larry Schrodt Memorial Award
Recognizing a member in your club who has made a significant contribution in the life of a child with disabilities can be easily made by presenting an International Director Larry Schrodt Memorial Award to them. This award recognizes that individual as making a difference in their community, and will help hundreds of children and adults with disabilities for years to come.
Larry Schrodt
Larry Schrodt became a Lion in October 1967. For over 27 years Lion Larry served his local Lions and was a prominent ambassador for Lions throughout MD19 and Lions International where he went on to become International Director. His leadership, membership and extensive skills put him in large demand to travel and speak at Lions Clubs and Conventions all over MD19. Larry also served on the board of directors of the British Columbia Lions Society for Children with Disabilities for 10 years and in that time was instrumental in affecting the lives of the children that attended the Easter Seals Camps and Easter Seals House. He had a sincere love and caring nature that he expressed to everyone that he met, both Lions and others.
