Thanks to a school project, we met Oliver – a generous and giving boy who’s inspiring us all.
A few weeks ago we received an amazing letter from from a grade 6 student at Royal Oak Middle School in Victoria. We are so grateful for the support from the next generation and love to see how they choose to give back to those in need.
“My name is Oliver and I am a grade 6 student at Royal Oak Middle School in Victoria, BC. This month, my school had an ACT (Action Changes Things) project and for my project, I chose to raise money and awareness to Camp Easter Seals to help kids with diverse abilities attend your camp! In order to raise money and awareness, I shovelled driveways, held a bake sale in my neighbourhood, and ran an 8km run. Altogether I was able to raise $360.00.”
Thank you Oliver for the amazing support! You generosity is a true inspiration. Many children with diverse abilities will be attending Camp Shawnigan this summer and they can’t do it without the support of people like you.
