The Peachland Lions Club got back in the swing of things after an extended pause during the pandemic, holding their 22nd Annual Charity Golf Tournament this past April.
“Since embarking on the vision of the BC Lions Society for Children with Disabilities in 1947, Lions Clubs have continued to be an integral and formidable supporter for children and adults with disabilities,” says Michael Leland, Vice-President, Engagement & Philanthropy. “Over these many decades, Lions Clubs have continued to support the Society with their incredible fundraising, events and time volunteering at our camps — and for that, we are forever grateful.”
The Peachland Lions Club have supported Camp Winfield in the Okanagan since 2006, raising almost $90,000, including $8,000 at this year’s golf tournament held at the Summerland Golf Course.
