Trusted Charity for Children with Disabilities

Helping make lives better for over 75 years.

Easter Seals BC/Yukon, founded by the East Vancouver Lions Club in 1947, is a trusted and established charity leader. Creating opportunities and tools to help children and adults with disabilities address life’s challenges while building self-esteem, self-confidence and independence. And providing the comforts of home for those traveling to Vancouver for medical appointments and treatments.

Our work wouldn’t be possible without the support of Lions Clubs, generous donors, sponsors, partners and volunteers who work with us to help change lives for the better.

Our son Nathan is in a wheelchair and is pretty much dependent on others for his care. The first year of dropping him off at camp was a bit scary – we couldn’t help but wonder if anyone else could take care of him the way we did at home. When we returned a week later to pick him up there was no doubt that sending him to camp was the best decision we had made for Nathan. Nathan was full of stories and new experiences he got to try at camp – he was already talking about returning next year!
